Aquila Formula 1000, the Nordics’ leading entry-level series in formula car racing, looks back on an exciting and even 2023 and looks ahead to 2024 with a really strong calendar.

In Aquila Formula 1000, where drivers aged 13 and up get their first taste of racing in a real car, miles-in-car and Racecraft are the key words. In the coming season, the drivers will be offered many opportunities to hone their skills behind the wheel against really tough competition.

Next season, Aquila Formula 1000 on several occasions will run together with Swedish racing’s elite classes STCC and Porsche Carrera Cup Scandinavia, but also with exciting classes such as Radical, V8 Thundercars, Ginetta, Legends and a continued collaboration with SSK.
Here the drivers get the chance to see the future in Swedish racing, and also good opportunities to show off to the team and the public.

The 2024 season offers eight races, but begins with two test opportunities before the season. On April 13-14, a mandatory test weekend is held at Malmby and Mantorp Park, with Gelleråsen Arena on April 27 as the last opportunity to sharpen the form before the start of the season.

The Rcaing season begins at Mantorp Park with Vårracet on May 4-5 and continues with the Gellerås race on May 31-June 2. Part competition three is run at Falkenberg 15-16 June and the first competition together with STCC will be 29-30 June at Ljungbyhed.

The classic Västkustloppet begins the second half of the season July 11-14, followed by Gelleråsen August 9-11. Seventh race will be at Kinnekulle Ring August 31-September 1 with the season finale together with STCC at Ring Knutstorp September 13-14.

– It feels great that our fantastic drivers get the opportunity to show off together with all these exciting classes, and also try several of Sweden’s classic tracks and races. At the same time, it’s a recognition for the work we do in the series, and it shows that we are on the right track in our ambition to deliver skilled drivers further up the series system, says Michael Karpers, promoter for Aquila Formula 1000.
